KFA Urges Japan to Make Reparation for Its Human Rights Abuses
Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association (KFA) headquartered in Spain made public a statement on March 30 as regards the fact that the Japanese police authorities searched houses of officials of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

The statement said:

The KFA bitterly denounces the Japanese Police Agency for hurling an armored car and dozens of policemen into searching the houses of Chairman Ho Jong Man and Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee on March 26.

There is neither right nor reason for the agency to search their houses as they are deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

Such violence was prompted by a sinister design to seize information about Chongryon and tarnish its image.

Japan should not indict the DPRK but make an apology and reparation to all victims of its systematic human rights abuses committed during its colonial occupation of Korea for over four decades.

If Japan fails to do so, it will be rejected by its neighboring countries in Asia and be forced to pay dearly for its unreasonable act.
