The statement recalled that on March 26 the Japanese reactionaries hurled police gangsters into the fascist action of searching the houses of the chairman and the vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon who are deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

Lurking behind the human rights abuses against the leading officials of the overseas citizens' organization of the dignified DPRK without any legal ground is a despicable aim to infuse the anti-DPRK, anti-Chongryon sentiments into the Japanese society and deliberately bedevil the DPRK-Japan relations, regarding Chongryon as a thorn in flesh in a bid to justify the moves to make Japan lurch to the right and fascistize it, the statement charged.

The brigandish act committed in broad daylight in Japan which styles itself a "law governed state" is an unbearable provocation against Chongryon and the DPRK and a wanton violation of their sovereignty, it held.

All Koreans in the north and the south and abroad will never pardon the Japanese reactionaries' base acts of recklessly cracking down on Chongryon and pushing the DPRK-Japan relations to catastrophe once again, it warned.

The Japanese authorities should stop at once the reckless suppression of Chongryon and make an honest apology to Chongryon and the DPRK government for the recent search, it urged.
