Former chief secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs of Chongwadae Pak Pom Hun was revealed to have embezzled funds of a local autonomous body.

In 2008 he donated funds to an art association and enabled Yangphyong County to construct an institute with an investment of 950 million won.

But it was discovered that most of the plottage and premise of the institute were recently transferred to the foundation whose managing director is Pak. He is now under investigation by prosecution on charges of embezzling hundreds of millions of won of public funds.
