Rodong Sinmun Slams Japan's Moves to Cover up Sexual Slavery
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- Some civic organizations of the U.S. launched a signature campaign demanding the erection of statues of sexual slaves for the Imperial Japanese Army in San Francisco and other areas of California.

This is the first time that they have conducted the signature campaign in denunciation of the sexual slavery for the Japanese imperialists.

Rodong Sinmun Friday in a commentary says Japan's desperate bid to deny and evade the responsibility for the sexual slavery will only harden the will of the international community never to tolerate it.

Much upset by the construction of monuments to the memory of sexual slaves and statues one after another in the U.S., the Japanese ultra-right reactionary forces lodged protests with the U.S. administration and relevant city authorities, holding negotiations and staging signature campaign, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Japan's moves are the biggest insult to a number of Korean women who had suffered mental and physical pain with their chastity violated under the boots of the Japanese imperialists.

Clear is the conclusion in the light of the rhetoric and bad behavior of the Japanese ruling quarters. That is to cover up the crime-woven past history and the hideous crimes against humanity and evade the redemption of the past.

Japan's distortion of history is aimed to repeat the history of aggression.

Its desperate efforts to distort the past history interwoven with crimes and evade the responsibility for it are useless. The way for Japan to get rid of international censure and isolation is to redeem its past crimes at an early date.
