Demo in Britain Protests U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises and "Human Rights" Campaign
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- A demonstration took place before the south Korean embassy in London on Mar. 26 in protest against the provocative U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises and their "human rights" campaign against the DPRK.

It was attended by personages of the New Communist Party of Britain, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean Friendship Association UK and the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain and citizens.

Prior to the demonstration speeches were made.

Dermot Hudson, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association UK, said the U.S. imperialists and their south Korean puppets are going reckless staging the large-scale joint military exercises against the DPRK, the motherland of the Juche idea and fortress of socialism and independence.

The exercises are described as "annual" and "defensive", sophism no one can believe, he said.

He condemned the U.S. and its south Korean puppet forces for cooking up the anti-DPRK "human rights resolution" in order to stifle socialist Korea.

He urged the U.S. and its south Korean puppet forces to immediately cease all their military drills and smear campaigns aimed to hurt the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK and threaten the peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the region.

Then the demonstrators chanted slogans such as "Let us defend the DPRK!" and "Overthrow the south Korean puppet regime!", carrying the DPRK flags and placards with the emblem of the Korean Friendship Association UK.

They gave the passers-by handouts condemning the joint military drills and "human rights" campaign.
