The Songun revolutionary idea calls for attaching importance and giving priority to the military affairs in the efforts to accomplish the popular masses' cause of independence, the cause of socialism, and pushing forward revolution and construction as a whole with the revolutionary army as a main force.

It is necessary to strengthen the driving force of revolution with the revolutionary army as a main force and push forward the revolution and construction through the leading role of the revolutionary army. This is a new revolutionary theory clarified by the Songun idea.

Songun politics is a socialist political mode of protecting the country and revolution and socialism and dynamically stepping up the overall socialist construction, regarding military affairs as the most important ones and relying on the People's Army as the core and main forces. It is, at the same time, an independent political mode to which the principles of Songun idea are fully applied.

The speakers praised leader Kim Jong Il for honorably defending socialism of Juche built by President Kim Il Sung through his Songun revolutionary leadership and laying a solid foundation to achieve the prosperity of Korea and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche and providing a sure guarantee for its victory.

They also lauded him for opening a turning phase of national reunification and firmly defending the world peace and security.

They said that Kim Jong Un is adding brilliance to the Songun revolutionary idea and feats of Kim Jong Il, expressing confidence that the DPRK would always win victory, holding aloft the great banner of Songun.
