That day the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers staged Ssangyong landing operation drill for preemptive attack on the north in Phohang area at the "decisive action" stage with marines, troops of navy and air force involved. They were busy with the drill under the simulated conditions of operation for occupying a coastal area of the north.

The organizations held a meeting and declared peace on the Korean peninsula can be achieved through reconciliation, cooperation and exchange between the south and the north, not through war drills.

They urged the authorities to stop military drills and opt for creating peaceful climate.

At the end of the meeting the organizations staged a demonstration, bitterly denouncing the joint military drills of the U.S. and south Korean warmongers.
