Abe's Remarks Insulting Victims of Sexual Slavery Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea made public a statement on March 30 in protest against Japanese Prime Minister Abe's remarks insulting the victims of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

He in an interview with The Washington Post on Mar. 27 said that the victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army were those who died due to "flesh traffic", the statement noted, adding:

Abe has denied the sexual slavery committed by the Imperial Japanese Army against the Korean women, asserting that there is no evidence proving the forcible drafting of women.

He has evaded Japan's blame for the crime, describing it as a deed of non-governmental businessmen.

The statement urged the Japanese government to make apology and reparation to the victims for its past crimes as early as possible.
