The president expressed deep thanks to Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, for extending warm greetings and best wishes to him on his 79th birthday.

The traditional relations of friendship between the two parties, states and peoples would continue to grow stronger, the message said. It wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and successes in his noble work.
