Korean Students Win Top Prize, First Prize at Int'l Juvenile Art Festival
Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- Korean students proved successful at the 25th International Juvenile Art Festival "New Names in Asia-Pacific Countries in 2015".

The festival was held in Khabarovsk, Russia from March 17 to 20. It brought together more than 300 students from the DPRK, Japan, Russia and other countries and regions.

At the festival students of Moranbong Secondary School No. 1 presented impressive art numbers and fine art pieces in which they showcased artistic skills they have cultivated under the most advantageous socialist education system.

Kim Kum Song was awarded the top prize, Ri Kuk Hyang, Kim Chol Mi, Sim Chol Gyong and Hong Ryong the first prizes and teacher Kim Hyon Suk the prize of educator.

The mayor of Khabarovsk City said that he was pleased with the participation of Korean students of talent in the festival this year, the year of Russia-DPRK friendship.

The chief of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian International Charity Fund said that seeing the Korean students' skilful playing and elegant and beautiful rhythms, he could know about the high level of art education in the DPRK.

He sincerely hoped that the Korean students would become flowers of friendship contributing to boosting the traditional relations between the two countries in the future, too.
