H. Jacobsen, member of the leadership of the Communist Party in Denmark, and Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to hold political and cultural events praising the sacred revolutionary career and the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
