Day of Sun to Be Honored in Syria

| Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- A Syrian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun) was inaugurated on March 17. The director of the Higher Education Department of the Regional Leadership of the Syria's Baath Arab Socialist Party was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee decided to give wide publicity to the undying exploits of Kim Il Sung and hold diverse political and cultural events including round-table talks on the occasion of the Day of the Sun. |
