Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance to Newly-Built Fish Meal Fodder Factory
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, gave field guidance to the Fish Meal Fodder Factory newly built by the KPA.

Enjoying a bird's-eye view of the factory, he said that a foundation was laid for producing and supplying the fish meal fodder necessary for breeding fish and it opened up a prospect for carrying out the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who made so much efforts for improving the diet of the service personnel and people by developing fish breeding.

The appearance of the factory alone proves that a lot of efforts were made with strong determination, he said, noting with great satisfaction that its builders demonstrated once again the work style and mettle of the People's Army in implementing the behests of the leaders and the party's policy on developing fish breeding.

After being briefed before a map showing a panoramic view of the factory, he went round its various places to learn in detail about production there.

He said that it was good that the factory was producing varieties of fish meal fodder for sturgeon, rainbow-trout and others with tiny shrimp, sand launce, anchovy and hard-finned sandfish.

Noting that the People's Army was taking the lead in locally producing fish food, he stressed that the construction of the factory made it possible to breed fishes of various species in a big way with fish meal fodder produced by it.

He set forth the tasks before the factory.

Underlining the need to pay deep attention to the work for updating the factory and establishing cultured practice in production and life at a higher level, he said it should reinforce modern equipment and put fish selection, processing, packing and conveyance on a streamlined and unmanned basis and turn its compound into a thick woodland and greenery.

He stressed the need to regularly supply fishes for the production of fodder in order to keep the factory operating in full capacity and take a thorough measure to prevent fodder from going bad. He added that the factory should build up a strong technical force and raise the level of technical skill of its employees to establish a scientific method of producing fish meal fodder.

Expressing expectation and belief that the employees of the factory would creditably fulfill their duties, he had a photo session with them.
