Among the audience were leading officials of the party, state and army, officials of the party and armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, persons of merits, officials, creators, artistes, teachers and students in the field of literature and art, people of various circles, service persons and their families, bereaved families of the revolutionary martyrs and Pyongyangites.

Put on the stage were prelude orchestral music and chorus "The General Will Live Forever as the Sun" as a prelude and such numbers as male solo and male chorus "The Path of a Soldier" and cello solo "Best Wishes."

The performance was given by former and incumbent famous actors and actresses of the Mansudae Art Troupe, the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble and the Wangjaesan Art Troupe.

Among them were O Phil Bae, Choe Kum Hui, Kim Hak Sun, Kang Se Hyok, Ri Ja Yong and others who received the titles of People's Artiste and Merited Artiste, a merited instrumental ensemble group widely known as "snow princess" to Koreans and international musical circle, merited female chorus group which had the honor of performing before President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il more than 360 times, veteran singers of the male quartet group including People's Artiste Ju Chang Hyok, People's Artistes Kim Sung Yon and Choe Sam Suk, and Kim Kwang Suk, Jon Hye Yong, Ri Kyong Suk, Ri Pun Hui, Jo Kum Hwa and others loved much by the Korean people.

The stage was particularly decorated by songs presented by O Jong Yun and Hwang Suk Gyong and other singers of the Wangjaesan Art Troupe which gave at least 900 performances at home and abroad, solo by People's Artiste Ryom Chong widely known for her peculiar tone color and voice and trumpet solo "I Think, Looking at You" by Merited Artiste Pak Chol Jun which Kim Jong Il appreciated as a typical number of the Wangjaesan Art Troupe.
