Modern mushroom farms like the Pyongyang City Mushroom Farm have put their production on a normal basis.

High-yield varieties of mushroom are cultivated at different institutions, enterprises and co-op farms, including the Wonsan Shoes Factory and the Chongsan Co-op Farm in Kangso District, Nampho City.

Big efforts have also been paid to modernizing the technical equipment of production processes and putting the mushroom cultivation on a more scientific basis.
