Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- It has been pushed forward in the DPRK to develop and introduce technologies for agro-forestry management of sloping fields.

North Hwanghae Province has made many achievements in applying the agro-forestry management.

In this regard, Kim Kwang Phil, director of the Land and Environmental Conservation Exchange Company under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, told KCNA:

The agro-forestry management of sloping fields makes it possible to ensure sustained production of food and forestry products and protect biological diversity and ecosystem.

It also favors the implementation of the MDGs (millennium development goals), the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Convention on Biological Diversity and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
