The statement said:

We resolutely denounce the aggressive war exercises being staged by the U.S. imperialists and south Korean authorities, contrary to the Korean nation's desire for peaceful reunification.

The adventurous U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises are being described as "defensive" and "annual" but they are aggressive.

It is well-known that the recent exercises are aimed at bringing down the headquarters of the DPRK and occupying Pyongyang with the rapid deployment of the U.S. troops and through surprise preemptive strikes in case of contingency on the Korean peninsula.

The U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises are seriously threatening peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the world.

We appeal the world community to blame the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises that seriously infringe on the sovereignty of the DPRK.

We urge the U.S. and south Korea to immediately halt the aggressive moves against the DPRK which is pushing forward the building of a thriving socialist nation under the banner of the Juche idea.
