Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism introduced the Pyongyang Folklore Park in its article titled "Place where national history spanning 5 000 years is alive" posted on its website on Mar. 10.

The park showcasing the time-honored history of the Korean nation was built in the vast area at the foot of Mt. Taesong in Pyongyang, the article said, and went on:

The park consists of the general historical education area, historic relics exhibition area, contemporary times area, folklore village area, folklore games area and other areas. Visitors can see in actual size or miniature cultural remains and relics and modern creatures made by the Korean nation in diverse periods.

Visual aid boards in the park clearly show the Korean nation's history spanning five thousand years from the primitive age to the modern age, helping visitors get easy understanding of the territories held by the ancient states of Korea when they were strong, founding fathers, patriotic generals, famous personages and anti-aggression struggles, scientific and cultural activities and peculiar national customs in relevant periods.

In the contemporary times area one can get a view of Mt. Paektu the Korean nation regards as the ancestral mountain.

Mt. Paektu is the holy place of the revolution where President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, waged the anti-Japanese struggle to retake the usurped country.

Those who visit the contemporary times area can also see Jong Il Peak shining with the august name of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il and his birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.

There are also miniatures of monumental edifices built by the Korean people under the guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The park helps all visitors know about the glorious history of the Korean nation.
