Japanese Urges S. Korean Authorities to Repeal SL
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Takashi Nada, representative of the Ehime Institute for Contemporary Korean Issue in Japan, posted an article titled "We demand south Korean authorities repeal 'Security Law' (SL)" on a website on February 28.

The SL has been used as a means for perpetuating the national division and supporting the fascist dictatorship by the successive ruling quarters since its fabrication in December, 1948, the article said, and went on:

We can hardly repress astonishment at the existence of such evil law even in the 21st century.

What is more surprising is that there is the "government" trampling down the people by invoking this law.

This reminds one of militarist Japan and fascist Germany.

The south Korean authorities are using the SL for labeling progressive political parties, organizations and personages as the "forces following the north" and "pro-communists."

The north and the south of Korea confirmed in the July 4 joint statement and the June 15 joint declaration that they would achieve reunification on the basis of not infringing upon the other party's ideology and social system.

The inter-Korean joint statement and declarations reflect the aspiration and desire of the Korean nation.

However, Park Geun Hye insists on "unification of social systems."

This would only escalate confrontation between the north and the south.

The SL is being used for suppressing the organizations and personages calling for peace and reunification and seeking "unification of social systems." This is an act of treachery challenging the aspiration and desire of the Korean nation.

We strongly demand the south Korean authorities abrogate the SL for independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
