S. Korean Body Calls for Building Independent Reunified World
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- The Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea held a regular meeting at the Christian church in Seoul on March 7 at which it decided to fight against the racket for escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen and "eliminating followers of the north".

At the meeting speakers recalled that the association has worked hard for long-term prisoners and prisoners of conscience who fought for independence, democracy and reunification.

Prisoners of conscience will continue existing unless the era of colony and division ends, they said.

They called upon Koreans to pool their efforts for national reunification.

They declared that they would stand against the racket for escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen and "eliminating followers of the north" to build an independent reunified world free from the "Security Law".

They called for waging a dynamic struggle to realize democratization through the second June resistance and win victory in the final standoff with the U.S.

A resolution was read out at the meeting.
