Chongryon Officials Condemn U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises
Tokyo, March 8 (KNS-KCNA) -- Officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) issued statements on March 7 denouncing the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet warmongers for kicking off the madcap joint war exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle.

Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, denounced the U.S. and the puppet forces for kicking off the exercises, challenging the peaceful proposal made by the DPRK to remove the danger of war and defuse tension on the Korean peninsula.

Ri Jong Man, managing director of the Standing Council of the Korean Federation of Workers in Commerce in Japan, said the officials of the federation and Korean workers in commerce in Japan bitterly condemn the war maneuvers by the U.S. and the puppet warmongers and will wage a more dynamic movement for national reunification.

Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, noted that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities are describing Key Resolve and Foal Eagle as "annual and defensive ones" but they are maneuvers for aggression to realize the ambition for "eliminating" the headquarters of the north and "occupying Pyongyang".

Kim Yong Ju, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, said the present situation clearly proves that the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces, its stooges, are the very ones disturbing peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and escalating tension in Northeast Asia.

Ri Yong Su, chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan, said the association and Korean social scientists in Japan will turn out as the pioneers and pathfinders of the times in the anti-U.S. sacred war for reunification to shatter the moves of the U.S. and south Korean puppet group for a nuclear war.
