S. Korean Workers Call for Right to Existence

| Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Sacked workers affiliated to the Tongyang cement branch of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions launched an indefinite sit-in after pitching up tents on March 2 outside the company building in Samchok, Kangwon Province of south Korea, according to KBS of south Korea. They accused the management side of discharging at least 80 workers of the subcontract company on Feb. 28. They demanded it reinstate the workers as full-timers at once. |
