DPRK Introduced by Media of Brazil, Peru
Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- The Masikryong Ski Resort and remodeled May Day Stadium were introduced in Brazil and Peru.

The Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea on February 26 posted on its internet homepage an article illustrated with a photo of supreme leader Kim Jong Un going round the completed Masikryong Ski Resort.

The article said that Kim Jong Un personally initiated the construction of the Masikryong Ski Resort to provide the people with a highly civilized life and gave the task to the Korean People's Army.

Soldier-builders worked such miracle as winding up in a short span of time the large-scale construction project which would have required more than 10 years at an ordinary pace, it noted.

Photos showing skiing courses and service facilities of the ski resort were posted on the homepage together with explanations.

The Peruvian newspaper Correo on February 17 carried an article titled "Biggest stadium in DPRK was remodeled."

It said:

The May Day Stadium situated on picturesque Rungna Islet in Pyongyang was successfully remodeled last year.

The stadium built in 1989 has 150,000 seats.

The stadium having a total plottage of 207,000 square meters hosted the grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang," the biggest event. A large number of performers presented the extravaganza, a successful combination of diverse background scenes, gymnastics, dances and acrobatics and unique lighting.
