W. A. Duminduwardane, chairman of the Committee of Self-Reliance Studies in Sri Lanka, said:

There are many great persons who made contributions to the progressive development of mankind in history. But no one could match Kim Jong Il who performed immortal exploits for the cause of global independence, possessed of unparallel great idea and leadership art.

He authored lots of famous works including "On the Juche Idea," steadily developing in depth the Juche idea.

As a result, progressive mankind could have a great ideological and theoretical weapon in the struggle for building an independent and peaceful new world free from any domination, subjugation, aggression and war.

The most important of the exploits performed by him who victoriously advanced the cause of global independence was that he frustrated the moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK and firmly defended Korean socialism and regional peace and security with his unique Songun politics.

The DPRK's capability for self-defence grew stronger thanks to his Songun politics.

The DPRK had access to nuclear deterrent to cope with the nuclear threat of the imperialists.

Eventually, Korean socialism grew stronger and peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region were firmly guaranteed.

His cause is being successfully carried forward by respected HE Kim Jong Un.

The cause of global independence is sure to triumph thanks to the Songun politics of the DPRK.
