The team took part in Ssium event of the DPRK Championships in Juche 102 (2013) for the first time.

In the championships the team won a gold medal in the 80kg category and made fine records in the 75kg, 85kg and catch-weight categories.

In 2014, it took more medals in different categories of the Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games, finished first in the team event of the Youth Championships by grabbing gold medals in five categories and won six medals, including gold medals in 57kg and above 105kg categories, in the DPRK Championships.

Its player scaling in at 75kg took the first place in the catch-weight category of the DPRK Championships by defeating his rivals weighing over 100kg.

Song Jun Ho, vice director of the team, told KCNA that the team would produce more aces by putting training on a scientific basis.
