Minju Joson Accuses Japan of Turning Itself into War State
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The Japanese government submitted "Bill on National Security" to the Liberal Democratic Party and the New Komeito Party, ruling coalition parties. It calls for the expansion of the overseas military activities of the "Self-Defence Forces" (SDF). The keynote of the bill is to give the government the mandate for dispatching the SDF overseas without resolution of the UNSC, enact a permanent law for it and revise the previous "law on situation in surround areas" for dramatically increasing objects and scope of the SDF's assistance.

Minju Joson on Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard:

This goes to prove that a major breakthrough is being made in the implementation of the policy of war shaped by the Japanese reactionaries who have worked hard to find the way of stepping up their militarist moves for overseas expansion for years.

Japan, as a defeated nation, made much fuss about instituting the "Pacifist Constitution" and adopting the "no-war resolution" in face of the world community's resentment and protest against its past crimes in the post-war period. But this was not its real intention.

Japan, however, has gradually paved the way for the militarist overseas expansion, backed by the U.S. and pursuant to its strategy for dominating Asia, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Not content with this, Japan is scheming to eliminate all elements obstructive to the SDF's overseas military actions.

Japan is rapidly turning itself into a militarist state for overseas aggression from the "pacifist state" under the present regime.

This is a very serious development that threatens peace and security in Northeast Asia.

No one can vouch that the same tragedy as what happened by Japan during World War II will not repeat itself.

The Japanese reactionaries should immediately roll back the policy of war, bearing in mind that their military overseas aggression will lead to their self-destruction.
