U.S. Has Lost Position of "Superpower": Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Frank Rose, U.S. assistant secretary of State for Disarmament, talked rubbish in a speech made at a meeting of U.S. atomic scientists that the U.S. beefing up of its forces in the Asia-Pacific region and building of missile shield are not to contain China and Russia but to cope with "threats" from Iran and north Korea. He jabbered that the U.S. has neither capability nor intention to intercept huge modern missiles of China and Russia.

Commenting on his remarks, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday ridicules that the U.S. is reading the faces of others now though it behaved high- handedly in dealing with the international affairs ten years ago.

The commentary goes on:

The U.S. is now obliged to make clumsy explanations for the introduction of its aggression forces into the Asia-Pacific region and has to sound out the attitude of big powers on the projected deployment of THAAD in south Korea. This is the poor position of the U.S.

This fact proves that the U.S. has completely lost its position of "superpower".

The 21st century is the one for the U.S. decline.

The U.S. dollar-dominated world financial and monetary system is collapsing while its nuclear stick is being broken though Washington brandished it as it pleased.

The U.S. is bound to meet the same fate as that of Roman Empire.

However, the U.S. remains cunning and mean, while being pushed out of the position of "superpower".

It is no more than a trick to deceive the countries around the DPRK that the U.S. is trumpeting about its "threat".

The U.S. pivot to Asia-Pacific strategy would not help regain its position of "superpower," the commentary notes, adding: This empire of evils is bound to fall.
