KFA Introduces Kimilsungia, Kimjongilia
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain posted on its homepage a photo-accompanied article "Flowers in praise of great men" on February 22 introducing the immortal flowers Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia.

The article said:

Mototeru Kamo, a Japanese horticulturist, was greatly attracted by the personality of HE Kim Jong Il as the great man and named a flower he newly bred as Kimjongilia and presented it to Kim Jong Il in Juche 77 (1988).

Now there are many greenhouses cultivating Kimilsungias and Kimjongilias in different countries of the world.

The Nordic Kimjongilia Association, American Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Association, Japanese Kimjongilia Fanciers Society and other organizations were formed.

The Society for Disseminating and Supporting Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia involving famous personages is an international organization which has branches in China, Japan, Indonesia, U.S. and other countries to widely disseminate the immortal flowers.

Kimjongilia was formally registered as a new breed of Begonia by the International Society for Horticultural Science and it has received several top prizes in the international flower exhibitions and world horticultural expos.
