Officials and other working people and youth and students here held meetings and turned out in the tree planting.

Present at the meetings were Choe Ryong Hae, Choe Thae Bok, Kang Sok Ju, Kim Phyong Hae, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of ministries and national institutions and those of the party and power bodies and working people's organizations and members of the youth league, the union of agricultural workers and the women's union and other people in the city.

They said the noble wishes of and Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for turning all the mountains of the country into green woods are being successfully implemented thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un, another peerless patriot.

They stressed the need for all people to turn out as one in the campaign for turning the country associated with the life of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il into a socialist paradise.

Officials, other working people and youth and students planted trees of various species at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site, on Moran Hill, Mt. Ryongak and around the Central Tree Nursery of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection.

Meanwhile, officials of the Capital City Construction Commission, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, Ministry of Urban Management and the General Bureau of Pleasure Park planted trees in the Arboretum of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, Sports Village on Yanggak Islet, Korean Film Studio, Pyongyang International Airport and other places on the same day.

Officials of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Pyongyang City People's Committee and party and power bodies and working people's organizations in the city planted thousands of trees of at least 20 species including fruit trees at the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Sadong District.

Working people in all provinces held meetings and planted trees of good species.

More than 4.8 million trees and flower shrubs were planted on the day across the country.
