Foreigners Praise Kim Jong Il's Exploits
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in Uganda, Pakistan, DR Congo and South Africa from Feb. 13 to 16 to celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

Speakers at the meeting in Uganda praised him for developing the DPRK into a satellite manufacturer and launcher and a nuclear weapons state by his original Songun politics. They stressed that he is alive in the hearts of progressive mankind for his tremendous contributions to the cause of global independence.

The secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association said the Korean people boundlessly revered Kim Jong Il as he devoted himself to prosperity of the country and defence of global peace with his far-sighted wisdom and affection for the people.

The chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo said the life of Kim Jong Il was characterized by his devotion to the country and people and his perfect succession to the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung.

The secretary of a regional committee of Gauteng Province of the South African Communist Party noted Kim Jong Il was a defender of socialism, adding that it was a great fortune and pride of the Korean people and a great honor of the progressive humankind to have him.

Congratulatory messages to Marshal Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings held in Pakistan and South Africa.
