DPRK Pays Effort to Water Storage
Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- The DPRK has directed much effort to the storage of water to prevent the damage from drought in this year's farming.

According to data available, 57,670 projects were carried out to keep water in store throughout the country from October last year to mid-February this year.

They included the construction of tens of reservoirs, 44,000 wells, 5,000 water pockets, 3,740 barrages, 1,400 cisterns, 900 small reservoirs and 1,600 tube-wells.

Different provinces of the country are now carrying on more projects to keep in store water as much as possible for the smooth farming.
