Ice Sculptures Displayed on Mansu Hill
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- Conspicuous ice sculptures are displayed on Mansu Hill on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il and the lunar New Year, drawing attention of people.

The ice sculptures depicting the Generalissimo star and the Supreme Commander flag reflect the deep yearning and reverence of all service personnel and people across the country for Kim Jong Il who is alive as the sun of Songun of Juche, and their firm will to successfully carry forward and accomplish his cause under the guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The creators of the Art Studio of the Korean People's Army displayed ice sculptures at festivals at the foot of Mt. Paektu every year. In order to show Pyongyangites ice sculptures, they made the Generalissimo star and the Supreme Commander flag with 6 ton-weighing ice they extracted in the Samjiyon area.

Pyongyangites talked about the ice sculptures and had pictures taken before them, feeling the freshness of the holy land of the sun where Jong Il Peak stands.
