DPRK Citizens' Yearning for Kim Jong Il Grows Deeper
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- The Korean people's yearning for leader Kim Jong Il is growing deeper on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star, his birthday (February 16).

Citizens from all walks of life in the DPRK, including schoolchildren, visit the statues of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the mosaics picturing their smiling images in different parts of the country.

Ri Ji Song, a student of Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1, told KCNA that he badly missed Generalissimo Kim Jong Il who had spared nothing for the schoolchildren, protecting their happiness.

Kim Hyon Hui, a member of the fine art group at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace, said that Kim Jong Il is alive in the hearts of the schoolchildren as their eternal sun.

Ju Yu Gyong, vice-principal of the Hero Haean Senior Secondary School in Wonsan City, said that Generalissimo Kim Jong Il's warm love for posterity continues under the guidance of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. And she hardened her will to strive for training the students to be dependable pillars of prosperous Korea, true to the noble intention of the peerlessly great persons.
