Monument Praising Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- In the area of Jongbaek, Rangnang District, Pyongyang, there is a monument bearing the august names of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Inscribed on it are letters reading "Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders of the Korean people who received the highest orders and honorary titles from the 'Protectors of Arts for the Century'".

The "Protectors of Arts for the Century", an international charity fund in Russia, built this monument in praise of the great leaders' feats on April 15, 2007.

Jon Mi Hwa, a citizen living in Jongbaek-dong No. 1, Rangnang District who visited the monument on the Day of the Shining Star, the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il, told KCNA that the monument made the Korean people deeply feel how great their leaders are.

At the ceremony of unveiling the monument, the president of Russia's International Charity Fund "Protectors of Arts for the Century" said it was erected to praise the undying feats Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations and the humankind. Such monuments carrying their august names were built in cities of Russia and would be erected in different parts of the world, he added.

Before the monument there are ten red marbles showing that similar monuments were erected in Moscow and other cities of Russia.
