S. Korean Organization Denounces War Drill

Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification in south Korea held a press conference outside the puppet Institute for National Defense Studies on Feb. 11 to denounce the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean authorities for staging a drill for operating extended deterrence means aimed at mounting a preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK.

At the press conference the organization said the drill is aimed to work out an operation plan to mount a preemptive attack on the nuclear weapons and missiles of the north with all the U.S. missile defense systems on the basis of the package missile reaction operation conception.

If the operation plan is worked out, it will be hard to evade a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, it noted.

The new operation plan is little short of making it a fait accompli to inveigle the missile defense system of south Korea into the U.S. missile defense system, it charged.

It demanded an immediate halt to the drill.
