Headquarters Chairwomen of Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan Meet
Tokyo, February 11 (KNS-KCNA) -- A meeting of headquarters chairwomen of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan was held at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on Feb. 6 and 7.

Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), called for working heart and soul to strengthen the movement of Korean women in Japan as required by the glorious Kim Jong Un's era, true to his ideology and intention.

Kang Chu Ryon, chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, underlined the need for the women's union to dynamically conduct the movement to greet the 60th anniversary of the formation of Chongryon with signal successes in the efforts to usher in a new heyday this year.

The women's union will orient all its work to the offensive to usher in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan and to the drive to defend Chongryon organizations, she said.

She underlined the need for the women's union to strengthen itself and go deep among Korean women so that it may function as a body serving them.

She called for achieving signal successes in upholding and developing the education of children and national education to greet the 10th Congress of Mothers.

Then followed speeches.

The meeting discussed this year's action plan.
