Reception Given by Iranian Ambassador
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Mansour Chavoshi, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Wednesday on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, Minister of Labor Jong Yong Su who is chairman of the DPRK-Iran Friendship Association and other officials concerned, diplomatic envoys and representatives of international bodies here.

The ambassador said in a speech that the all-people revolution won the victory to establish new political system against the monarchy in Iran in 1979.

He referred to the foreign policy of Iran improving relations with its neighboring countries and intensifying many-sided exchange with them.

The visit to Iran by the DPRK's foreign minister and his party last year marked an important occasion in boosting the bilateral relations, he noted.

He said that the friendly relations between Iran and the DPRK will grow stronger under the special care of HE Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Ri Su Yong said that over the past 36 years since the victory of the revolution the Iranian people have made persistent efforts to achieve the development and prosperity of the nation while repulsing all challenges and intervention by the hostile forces.

He noted he was rejoiced over many achievements made by Iran in ensuring regional peace and security under the leadership of HE Seyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and President HE Hassan Rouhani.

He expressed belief that cooperation between the two countries and joint action would grow stronger in the efforts to reject the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the hostile forces and defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country.
