Under his leadership, the revolutionary armed forces entered the higher stage of its development. Therefore, the Korean people could firmly preserve the freedom and independence of the country and gains of the revolution from the encroachment of the U.S. imperialists and all enemies, and dynamically advance the revolution and construction by relying on powerful military capabilities.

He strengthened the Korean revolutionary armed forces into the regular revolutionary armed forces and laid a firm foundation for victoriously advancing the revolutionary cause of Juche. His immortal feats will shine forever in the history of the country.

No matter how much water may flow under the bridge and how frequently one generation is replaced by another, unchangeable is the mission of the Paektusan arms handed down by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary nature of the KPA holding the red flag of the Workers' Party of Korea as the first military flag.

Sure is the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche and the revolutionary cause of Songun as great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism indicates the way to be followed by us and there is the wise leadership of the Party, the single-minded unity of all service personnel and people and invincible KPA.
