Kim Jong Il's work "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction" was carried by the February issue of the Romanian paper Romania Muncitoare.

The work, made public on June 19, Juche 86 (1997), clarifies the idea that preserving the Juche character and national character of the revolution and construction is the basic principle to be adhered to in accomplishing the socialist cause. It also indicates tasks and ways to do so.
