Kim Jong Il Praised by Personages of UK, Ethiopia
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Seminars were held in London, UK and by branches of the Ethiopian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism from Jan. 27 to 31 in the run-up to the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain said in a speech that Kim Jong Il was born in the secret camp of Mt. Paektu on Feb. 16, 1942 and grew up during the great anti-Japanese war and the fierce Fatherland Liberation War.

Under his leadership the Korean people could withstand the worst ordeals and difficulties after the demise of President Kim Il Sung, the general secretary said.

The chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy praised Kim Jong Il for developing the DPRK into a powerful state possessed of nuclear deterrent with his Songun politics.

His exploits for the Korean people and progressive humankind are great and his august name will shed its rays forever, the chairman noted.

The chief of a branch of the Ethiopian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism said in a report that the greatest feat Kim Jong Il performed was that he defended socialism and ushered in a new heyday of the socialist cause.

His undying exploits will be kept in the hearts of progressive people, the chief added.

A congratulatory message to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar in the UK.
