On this occasion, the people in the DPRK are recalling with deep emotion the undying feats performed by anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk in strengthening the KPA.

She devoted herself to implementing President Kim Il Sung's line of army building. She gave instructions in connection with the building of the regular revolutionary army for more than 420 times in her lifetime.

On February 23, Juche 35 (1946) when attending the opening ceremony of the Pyongyang Institute held in the presence of Kim Il Sung, she called on its officials to regard the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung as a guide in all their educational activities.

She paid primary attention to training military and political cadres and visited the institute on different occasions.

When the aviation class was organized in the institute, she explained to its officials the President's idea of founding the air corps and called for completing the airfield at an early date.

She also made efforts to strengthen the naval force of the country.

When looking round the first battleship built by the working class, she underscored the need to build more naval vessels for the strengthening of the naval force.

Her undying feats were also closely associated with various military affairs ranging from the organization of the first tank unit and air corps to the designing of military uniforms and colors.
