He met and conversed with German Hermin Ferras Alvarez, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials on Monday and met with the Syrian charge d'affaires a.i. here on January 29.

He also met and conversed with Swedish Ambassador Stiernlof Bo Torkel and other diplomatic envoys of European countries including Germany, the UK, Poland, Romania and France on January 28.

At meetings Ri referred to the dynamic drive of the army and people of the DPRK to carry out the important tasks set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un in his historic New Year address and the efforts of its government to implement tasks for Korea's reunification and carry out the foreign policy stands clarified in the New Year address.

Views were exchanged on the issues of boosting the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Cuba between the DPRK and Syria and some matters of mutual concern including an issue of developing the friendly relations with European countries.
