Japan's Settlement of Its Past Crimes Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- The Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea held the 1163rd Wednesday rally in Seoul on Jan. 28, according to south Korean Yonhap News.

Yun Mi Hyang, permanent representative of the council, deplored that a grandmother, whose chastity had been mercilessly violated by Japanese soldiers after being drafted as one of comfort women for the Imperial Japanese Army, died on Jan. 26 with her grudge unsettled.

She called on people from various circles to stage dynamic actions to force the Japanese government to make an apology and reparation for the sexual slavery.

Then a statement was read out.

It denounced the Japanese government for still denying the sexual slavery, tampering with history and evading responsibility for the past crimes, brazen-faced behavior.

It noted that they would carry on their Wednesday rally till the Japanese government atones for the sexual slavery.
