S. Korean Workers Stage Action for Right to Existence
Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- The Metal Workers Trade Union of south Korea staged an action to win the right to existence, according to the south Korean Yonhap News.

It held a ceremony for declaring an action demanding the authorities ensure labor safety.

At the ceremony speakers denounced the present regime for trying to lay off more workers from the outset of the year.

They declared they would launch an all-out strike in protest against this.

Then they held a rally at Seoul Square to demand the authorities reinstate the discharged workers of the Ssangyong Motors, turn part-time jobs into full-time ones and stop firing workers under the pretext of restructuring.

Since the occurrence of the case of the Ssangyong Motors, dozens of fired workers lost their lives, they deplored, adding they would carry on their actions to the last to win the rights of workers.
