In this regard, Prof. and Dr. So Ui Hwa, who is candidate academician at Kim Il Sung University, told KCNA:

We succeeded in developing nano-based insecticide with waste as raw materials.

This insecticide, easy to make, has a high rate of killing insects and costs lower than the existing ones. It is applicable to paddy and non-paddy fields.

Now efforts are paid to recycling various kinds of wastes.
