Birth Anniversaries of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il to Be Celebrated in Uzbekistan

| Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- The Uzbekistan preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun) and the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Tashkent on Jan. 22. Eldar Rasulov, chairman of the Uzbekistan-DPRK Friendship Forum, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. It decided to organize political and cultural events praising the revolutionary careers and exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il from Jan. 26 to April. 20. |
