Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary to Be Celebrated in Myanmar

| Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- A Myanmar preparatory committee for celebrating the 73rd birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated in Yangon on Jan. 24. Tha Win, member of the Central Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. It decided to hold colorful political and cultural events such as meeting, friendship gathering, film show and photo exhibition from Jan. 24 to Feb. 16 on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. |
