Alexander Fedosov, minister of Culture of the Khabarovsk Territory Administration who doubles as chairman of the Russia-Korea Friendship Association of Khabarovsk Territory, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold various political and cultural events including round-table talks and film show praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il and meeting for adopting a congratulatory message to supreme leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
