Copper Wall Hanging, Gift to Kim Il Sung from Egyptians
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- On display at the International Friendship Exhibition House in the DPRK is a copper wall hanging presented by an Egyptian art troupe as a gift to President Kim Il Sung.

Invited to attend the April Spring Friendship Art Festival in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 73rd birthday of Kim Il Sung, the artistes of the troupe prepared the gift with the help of a reputed craftsman in Cairo.

The copper sculpture, redolent of a round fruit bowel, is carved in relief with the Goddess of ancient Egypt, with hieroglyphic characters inscribed on its right and left. It is said that Egyptians worship the Goddess as a prophet of their future.

The gift represents the deep reverence of the Egyptian artistes and other people for Kim Il Sung, the peerlessly great man.
