Rodong Sinmun Slams US Scenario for Biochemical Warfare against Korean Nation
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- It was newly disclosed that the U.S. stockpiled chemical weapons in Okinawa, Japan for attacking the DPRK.

According to declassified diplomatic documents of the Japanese government, the U.S. government asserted that chemical weapons serve as "deterrent" against the DPRK, while informing the Japanese government in 1970 that it was stockpiling chemical weapons in Okinawa for another Korean war.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a commentary in this regard:

This is sheer sophism reminding one of a robber claiming his dagger for looting properties of other's house is for "self-protection".

The army and the people of the DPRK can never forget the biochemical warfare the U.S. fought against the Korean people in the 1950s.

The U.S. imperialists mercilessly killed more than 1.23 million peaceable civilians in the northern half of Korea in the whole period of the Korean war not only through indiscriminate air raids but through barbarous biochemical warfare.

These hair-raising atrocities of the U.S. imperialists put into the shade even the crimes committed by the Hitler fascists.

The U.S. imperialist aggressors who committed such thrice-cursed crimes without hesitation are brutes in human skin and the sworn enemy of the Korean people.

The U.S. stockpiling of chemical weapons in Okinawa brings to light its grisly scenario to wage the same biochemical warfare as what it did during the last Korean war. It remains unchanged in its wild ambition.

It is quite preposterous for the U.S. imperialists to style themselves "a human rights champion" and "guardian of peace" as they are keen to launch the biochemical warfare. Their behavior is only touching off resentment and anger of the Korean people and other peace-loving people of the world.
